Frequently asked questions

When does the challenge start?


As soon as you purchase the digital workbook, you’ll gain immediate access and can start the challenge whenever is most convenient for you. You’ll receive periodic emails from Stacie and a link to join the Official Stacie Tovar Nutritional Lifestyle Community on Facebook. Don’t have Facebook? No sweat. You can still participate in the challenge! If you choose the group coaching option, the challenge will start on a designated date determined in advance (typically a Monday).




What results can I expect?


Everybody is unique, and every challenge is different. Results are as various as are individual motivations for taking the challenge. Some people are focused on losing pounds and inches, and they have before and after pictures to show their incredible results! Others want to focus on meal prepping and are able to build a routine that works well for them going forward. Some notice improvements in their complexion and overall skin health. The most frequent feedback we receive is the freedom that people feel knowing they don’t have to eliminate anything. They experience less confusion and are able to enjoy a “cheat” meal with zero guilt, knowing they can hop back on the nutrition train right away.




What foods do I have to eliminate?


This challenge isn’t an elimination game. There are technically no restrictions. You can still have a burger, pizza, or even your alcoholic beverage of choice. Instead, it’s about developing awareness and choosing the best quality foods at the right quantities to fuel your body. The goal is to make healthy choices 90 percent of the time. Perfection is impossible.




Is this challenge for vegetarians or vegans?


This challenge is for everyone, regardless of your eating habits or dietary preferences. Eating a variety of vegetables is a major focus for this challenge, along with other whole foods and healthy sources of protein, carbs, and fats. You’ll have to make some substitutions, of course. Because there are no strict rules, you have the freedom and flexibility to make this challenge work for you.




Is there a meal plan?


Specific meal plans are not included. Instead, you’ll receive general guidance on preparing your grocery list and tips on quantities and portion control. You’ll also notice that daily tasks include suggestions for eating a variety of colorful fruits and veggies.




Are workouts included?


Regular movement is encouraged during this challenge, but it’s not the primary focus. Moving your body can be as simple as walking for 20 minutes or as strenuous as crushing the Workout of the Day (WOD) at your local CrossFit gym. If you already follow a fitness plan, perfect! Keep it up. If you don’t know where to begin, you’ll find suggestions and a sample bodyweight workout in the workbook. What if I don't workout?


If fitness isn’t your thing, no sweat! Instead, try setting a step goal. We recommend 10,000 steps each day, five days a week. Choose a realistic number that works for you and just be consistent.




Can I participate while pregnant or breastfeeding?


Yes! We do recommend consulting with your physician first, but you can still participate and adapt to your specific situation and dietary needs. Many moms find this challenge helps them get the extra nourishment they need.
